The Quebe Sisters, the triple threat fiddle champions with three acclaimed albums are going to be preforming their western swing and vintage country music at the Richardson Performance Hall. Second Saturday Free Gallery Walk


Whether you?ve been to the Art Museum of South Texas before and seen all the exhibits or you?ve never been, this Saturday is your chance to learn more about the pieces of artwork that are on display. The second Saturday of the month is when the Art Museum offers a free gallery walk, when you pay for the price of admission, between 1pm-4pm. You get a free tour of the museums current exhibits led by a docent and there is a tour every hour on the hour. Saturday, 1pm ? 4pm, 1902 N. Shoreline Blvd., 361-825-3500.

The Barefoot Mardi Gras


For the ninth year in a row The Barefoot Mardi Gras returns with events throughout the day from a family parade, to a festival, and a ball. The parade starts at Whitecap Beach at 11am and runs along Padre Island where you will see various Mardi Gras themed floats. The parade is followed by a festival that lasts from 11am-5pm. For an admission price of $5 you get to enjoy music, food, drinks, displays, artists, and so much more at the Mardi Gras Festival. The fun doesn?t stop there because from 7pm-12am you can head over to the Veranda Restaurant and Bar. If you?re 21 or older and purchase a ticket you can enjoy dinner and dancing to live New Orleans style music. Visit the Texas State Aquarium

Looking for something do to this weekend that will entertain the whole family? Come by the Texas State Aquarium and spend Sunday the afternoon enjoying all the exhibits from the coral reef, jungle, Caribbean Sea, aquatic nursery, dolphin bay, stingray lagoon, and so much more.
